What to look for when purchasing a quality silver fox rabbit: The two paramount features of this breed are the long fur, which is evenly silvered over the entire body and their ability to produce meat.  The body is to be medium length, with well filled shoulders, ribs, and hindquarters.  The top line is to blend into an arc over the hips and downward to the base of the hindquarters, thus rising from the nape of the neck and reaching its highest point directly over the center of the hips.  Depth of body should be the same as width of body.  The fur is to be long, and dense with plenty of luster and life so when stroked slowly from the hindquarters to the head it will remain upright or standing.  This is the only normal coated breed that has a standing coat.  (Raising Better Rabbits & Cavies - The American Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc)

SALES AGREEMENT: We are very proud of rabbits that we have bred and have no intentions of selling animals which we know to be sick or injured.  We encourage buyers to physically inspect each rabbit at the time of purchase. If at the time of purchase, the buyer is not happy with the rabbit for any reason we can attempt to substitute it with another if available.  All rabbits are purebred, pedigreed, and tattooed. All purchased rabbits are sent home with a copy of their pedigrees at no additional charge, additional copies can be supplied upon request.  All copies of our rabbits pedigrees are posted on our website, it is assumed that the buyer has taken the time to inspect the pedigree prior to purchase.  For three reasons all sales are final; #1 we have extremely limited cage space, #2 we cannot monitor the treatment of the rabbit after it leaves our possession, and #3 for the health and safety of our own small herd we can not bring a rabbit back into the rabbitry that could have been potentially introduced to infection or illness.  We do not guarantee that any rabbits sold as being "potential show quality" will win any show or competition.  What it does mean, is that we have physically inspected the animal for visible defects which would disqualify the rabbit from show.  We do not guarantee that rabbits will remain free of traits which would disqualify them from show such as injuries and weight.  We guarantee that any buck sold as "proven" has produced offspring for our rabbitry, it does not guarantee that the same proven buck will produce offspring for the buyer. We cannot guarantee that rabbits which have not been proven will produce offspring for the buyer.
